Terms of Service

Last updated: July 24, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AudioFile, a web application for cataloging vinyl and record collections, building wishlists, and sharing them with others (the "Service"), operated by AudioFile ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

3. Subscriptions and billing

AudioFile offers a free tier (with limits on collection size, wishlist size, and sharing) and a Premium subscription ("Premium") that removes those limits.

  • Premium is billed monthly at US$5.00/month.
  • Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle (not AudioFile) is the seller of record for your subscription and handles billing, taxes, and refunds under its own terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account or the Paddle customer portal; cancellation stops future renewals.

See our Refund & Cancellation Policy and Pricing page for details.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the information you submit to the Service (such as the records, photos, and notes you add to your collection). You grant us a limited licence to host, store, and display your content as needed to operate the Service for you, including displaying items you choose to share publicly or with specific people.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service โ€” for example, not to upload content you don't have the right to, not to attempt to access data that isn't yours, and not to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service.

6. Intellectual property

The Service itself โ€” its design, code, branding, and features โ€” is owned by AudioFile and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to the Service beyond what's needed to use it.

7. Third-party services

We rely on third parties to operate the Service, including Paddle (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email), and Sentry (error monitoring). Each operates under its own terms and privacy policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don't guarantee the accuracy of any estimated values shown for items in your collection.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AudioFile won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
